Purple Line BRT Environmental and Peer Review

Insight is part of the Purple Line BRT peer review team supporting the study of the proposed BRT service in Ramsey County. Insight is leading the review of ridership model and the forecasts being developed by the Engineering and Project Management Consultant. As part of the review, Insight also performed several sensitivity tests and upgraded the model to use the most recent available version of STOPS (version 2.51). Insight’s review assisted the team in identifying alternatives that have the best chance of meeting FTA’s CIG medium rating threshold for Small Starts funding.   

Insight is leading the development of ridership forecast for the White Bear Avenue alignment of the BRT study. The effort will utilize post-pandemic ridership survey to update the STOPS model and forecasts that reflect post-pandemic transit travel patterns in the region.
