Services Provided:  Model Validation Support, Regional STOPS Model Support, Air Passenger Model Update, Data Visualization

 Insight Transportation Consulting Inc. (Insight) is part of a consultant team that is providing travel demand modeling technical support to Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC). The regional activity-based model (ABM) is being updated to a new base year of 2019/2020, considering 

pre-pandemic and post-pandemic travel conditions. Insight is assisting the team in the following areas:

a) Updating the Regional STOPS model to the latest STOPS version and providing technical support.

b)  Assisting in the calibration and validation of the regional activity-based model’s transit and highway assignment modules.

c) Updating the Atlanta airport air passenger mode choice model.

d)  Refining the school location model to better reflect travel behavior of students attending large colleges such as Georgia Institute of Technology or Emory University.

e)  Assisting in review of multiple travel demand software packages.

Developing visualization and mapping tools to summarize the ABM outputs.
