Dr. Li Jin, PhD., P.E.

Dr. Jin is a project manager with over 15 years of professional experience in transportation planning and traffic engineering projects in Florida, North Carolina, and other states. His in-depth knowledge of modeling, traffic algorithms, and traffic forecasting guidelines provides him the understanding of how modeling issues can impact traffic forecasts. 

Dr. Jin has managed various traffic forecasting projects to develop traffic turning moving volumes for roadway feasibility and design studies. He has worked on developing trends and performance measures for the FDOT Central Office that evaluate the statewide transportation system and measure the effectiveness of transportation investment. His experience also includes standard traffic analyses (e.g., IJRs, IMRs, LOS, Capacity, Traffic Operation and Reliability Analysis, etc.), mesoscopic dynamic traffic assignment, and microscopic simulation.

Dr. Jin holds Masters degree in Urban Planning from Tsinghua University and Masters and PhD. in Transportation Engineering from Purdue University.
